World Cup!!

Training on Wednesday Evening.

After a long absence, apparently some French dude called Jules Rimet is supposed to be coming home this week? As such and to prevent the inevitable family conflicts about attending training I have “reluctantly…….” decided to cancel all training on Wednesday night.

Enjoy the game # IT’S COMING HOME

GO ENGLAND!!!

Congratulations to CABSC Masters swimmer Chris Gillard who in May achieved a new East Midlands regional short course Masters record in the ladies 400m IM (60-64 years) in a time of 7.45.02. Well done Chris you are an inspiration!!- CABSC youngsters take note - you can still achieve records well after your teens!

Summer 2018 session closures

Here is the Summer closures spreadsheet. Please note that due to falling attendance at some sessions and ever rising pool hire charges we have been forced to close a few sessions permanently and amalgamate one session. However we will keep the amalgamated session (Wed at Calverton) under review until Christmas.

Thankyou from the committee to all coaches/teachers affected by the closures for your support and hard work over the years - Tracey J, Paddy C, Andy C and Roy.

Stage 1 Trophy Gala 16.6.18

A convincing win for our youngsters on Saturday at Watermeadows, with 28 first places!. We had a few inexperienced/nervous swimmers in the team for the first time who were ably assisted/supported by some of our already battle hardened 10 and 11 year olds. Everyone supported each other loudly at both ends of the pool (we were told off for being a bit too enthusiastic when 'someone' dropped their hat in the pool as a race was under starters orders)! OOps!! Results/times are under GALA RESULTS.

Thanks go to the Huckerby/Kench household (Matt, Selecia and James), Lee Lacey, Julie Wright, Simon Ward, Matt Curson, Chas Kielty and Ben Curson as trainee TM.

Team was Alice L, Emily W, Sophie E, Ruby, 2 Ben's, Ashton, Jamie, Jess, Molly, Immy, James B-E, Tom P, Charlotte, Maisie, Jenson and Billy. Well done guys, I am proud of you!

Ripley Rascals Open Meet 2018

A great blingtastic day for our swimmers at Alfreton on Saturday! 19 CABSC swimmers from JDS to County took part, got lots of new pb's, medals galore and a few special speeding ticket awards for being super fast. The photo shows George and Jenson's medal haul; the boys vied closely with each other in 5 events, but remain the best of mates!

Well done to all swimmers - Ruby, Alice, Toby, Billy, Katie, Immy, Freya, Charlotte, Maisie, Ava, Jenson, George, Jenna, Ella, Maddie, Tom, Elspeth and Hermione.

Thanks from me go to Debbie, Jo, Simon and Alyson for so capably supporting the swimmers and myself throughout the day. We plan to target this meet again next year - a lovely friendly relaxed meet with lots of events and not many other Notts clubs in attendance.

Kath

Congratulations to Jacob Carrington, Amy Mead, Will Halstead and Will Turnock who have all qualified for this years National Championships.  A great achievement and we wish them well with preparations for the meet which takes place in August.

England Womens Waterpolo

The England Women's U19's squad for EU Nations has officially been announced today and CABSC SDS swimmer Amelia Peters is in the team!

She will be off to Brno, Czech Republic next weekend (May 25-27th) for this Open Ladies competition so it will be tough! Tougher on Amelia as she's also in the middle of her GCSE's.

Good Luck to Amelia and the team from CABSC!
