Adam Peaty fundraiser

Adam Peaty will be going for Gold and Project 56 at the Commonwealth Games but what time will he hit in the final of the 100m breaststroke?  Have a guess on our Adam Peaty fundraiser and you could win a cash prize while helping to raise funds for a new backstroke ledge.  Thank you to Liz Warner for organising this - there are still some times left at £2 a go so catch Liz this week.  The final is on 7th April 19:48 (Australian time).

Commonwealth Games 2018

This week sees the start of the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Brisbane, Australia and ex CABSC swimmer, Rosie Rudin will be representing Team England in the Womens 400m IM on Thursday 5th April.  Rosie started her swimming career at CABSC as a junior, and then soon moved onto the NOVA squad as an age group swimmer.  After completing her A levels she moved to the City of Sheffield Swim Squad and has spent the last few years there focusing on her international goals.  This is a fantastic honor for Rosie and from all at CABSC we wish her the best of luck.

Notts ASA Stage 3 Round 2

A good win for CABSC in Round 2 of the Notts ASA Stage 3 Gala last weekend.  The team traveled to Retford for a draw against the winners of the last round, Arnold and Mansfield, Kimberley, Carlton Forum and Northern.   Maximum points from Lewis (100 Back), Ella (100IM), Becky (100 Back), Noah (100 fly), Elliot (100 fly and Breast), Elsie (100 Breast and 100 IM), Jess (100 Free), Jacob (100 Back) and from the 12 U Medley (Christie, Elliot, Lewis and Esme), 12 U Free (Lewis, Noah, Bronwyn and Noor), 14 U Medley (Becky, Elsie, Will and James).  The evening finished off with an exciting cannon in which the lead was ever changing but CABSC dug deep and ended the night on a high.  Well done to all the team and thanks to all those who helped out poolside.

CABSC Masters open meet - new date

Following the unfortunate postponement of the Meet due to the atrocious weather - we are pleased to announce that this will go ahead on the 13th May at Hucknall. Same place, same conditions, same time frame. Our Open Meet Co-ordinator Liz will be contacting previous entrants over the weekend. We have also decided to re-open this to new swimmers, so keep a lookout for an email from Liz and encourage your swimming mates to enter as well. The NEW closing date will be the 30th April 2018.

We will post the programme onto this site a week before the event.
