Sports Centre 2017

Sports Centre League is always a great opportunity for our youngest swimmers to join up wiith some of our most experienced swimmers on the squad and the younger ones love being part of the exciting events like the cannon.  Pictured here are our open boys Jacob Carrington, Bence Tejes and 2017 Captain, Tom Fletcher with our 9 year old boys who had some super relay swims on Saturday - Toby Hughes and Ben Kench.

The final round of the Sports Centre League was held at Hucknall tonight and it was yet again another closely fought competition with Sutton.  We were missing a number of our regular 15 and under boys, so our 13 and under boys (Declan Breedon, James Cox and Will  Turnock) stepped up and had a busy night competing in both age groups. At the half way mark we were only a point behind Sutton and had some good convincing wins in the relays and 1st places for Annastasia Walker and Cam Breedon in the 11 and under breast.  In the 2nd half we had more sucess in the relays and Jake Geary, Jess Doherty, Beau Cann-Livingstone, Bence Tejes and Ella Croft all gained maximum points.  We had a good clear win in the cannon but sadly not enough to catch Sutton in the points - final scores in this round were Sutton 143, CABSC 134, Sherwood 120 and Falcon 98.  This was the last round of the league and CABSC finished 2nd overall - pictured are club captains Jess Doherty and Tom Fletcher collecting the trophy.   Thank you to all our poolside team and officials and especially Debbie Stevens who has been gala co-ordinator for the league.
