Ian Turner

The Club is sad to announce that JDS Squad coach, Ian Turner, has reluctantly made the decision to step down from the Club's coaching team following voice related health issues. The Club would like to thank Ian for the hours spent on poolside and the positive impact that he has had on all those that have passed through his sessions over the years. As a valued member of our coaching team, his experience and enthusiasm will be sorely missed. We would like to wish Ian all the best in his future endeavours.

British Championships 2018 Edinburgh

Good luck to CABSC and NOVA swimmer Amy Mead who will be heading to Edinburgh this week for the British Championships, the highlight of the national swimming calendar.  This is a fantastic achievement to qualify at such a high level against the best in the country and particularly in multiple events - Amy will be competing in the Women's 100/200/400m freestyle and the  50/100m breaststroke. Competition takes place from Thursday to Sunday and you can follow live streaming on the British Swimming website.

Notts ASA Stage 3 Round 1

In a tight fought contest at Water Meadows CABSC’s finished a close second to a strong Arnold team. After 26 events the scores were tied at 123 points each at which point Arnold pushed into a slender lead which they never relinquished.

There were some good swims throughout the team, with the 12 year old boys defeating all before them and some brave swims from Jenna and Elsie swimming up in the open category in the fly and free. Well done to Ella for holding the fort in the other events.

As always thanks to the officials and team managers for their time on the evening and the back up team in making the event happen.

Round 2 is scheduled for 24th March so lets all keep this date free.
